Imagine that it's the year of a general election in India, and the state of Nagaland is preparing for the election of its representative to the Lok Sabha, which is the House of the People. According to Section 9 of The State of Nagaland Act, 1962:

• Nagaland is entitled to one seat in the Lok Sabha.
• The entire state forms a single parliamentary constituency for this purpose.
• During this election, the electoral roll for the Tuensang district of Nagaland will be prepared and revised separately, ensuring that all eligible voters in that district are accounted for, as per the special provisions applicable to it.

As a result, when the citizens of Nagaland go to vote, they will be choosing one Member of Parliament (MP) to represent their entire state in the Lok Sabha. The election commission ensures that the electoral roll is up-to-date, especially for the Tuensang district, providing fair representation for all parts of Nagaland.
