Example 1:
Ravi and Suresh are neighbors who have had a long-standing feud over a property boundary. One day, Ravi, in a fit of anger, publicly calls Suresh a thief and a liar in front of other neighbors. Ravi knows that Suresh has a short temper and is likely to react violently. Suresh, provoked by the insult, starts a physical fight with Ravi, disturbing the peace in their neighborhood. In this scenario, Ravi could be charged under Section 504 of the Indian Penal Code for intentionally insulting Suresh with the intent to provoke a breach of the peace.
Example 2:
During a heated political debate at a local community center, Priya, a supporter of one political party, intentionally insults Raj, a supporter of the opposing party, by calling him derogatory names and questioning his integrity. Priya knows that Raj is passionate about his political beliefs and is likely to react aggressively. Raj, provoked by Priya's insults, starts shouting and threatening violence, causing a commotion and disrupting the event.
