Ravi, upset with his neighbor Suresh, decides to damage Suresh's car. One night, Ravi sneaks into Suresh's driveway and slashes the tires of the car. Ravi knows that this act will cause Suresh to incur expenses for repairs and will inconvenience him. By doing this, Ravi has committed mischief under Section 425 of the Indian Penal Code.

Example 2:

Priya, a disgruntled employee, decides to take revenge on her employer by deleting important files from the company's computer system. She knows that this will disrupt the company's operations and cause financial loss. Priya's actions amount to mischief as she intentionally caused damage to the company's property, knowing it would result in wrongful loss.
