Explanation using Example

Example 1:

Ravi, a 17-year-old boy, is constantly bullied by his classmate, Arjun. Arjun repeatedly tells Ravi that he is worthless and should end his life. Feeling hopeless and unable to cope with the harassment, Ravi takes his own life. In this scenario, Arjun can be charged under Section 305 of the Indian Penal Code for abetment of suicide of a minor, and he could face severe penalties, including life imprisonment or even the death penalty.

Example 2:

Meera, who suffers from severe mental illness, is manipulated by her caretaker, Suresh. Suresh convinces Meera that her life is a burden to everyone around her and that she should end it. Under Suresh's influence, Meera commits suicide. In this case, Suresh can be prosecuted under Section 305 of the Indian Penal Code for abetment of suicide of an insane person, and he could be sentenced to life imprisonment or a term of up to ten years, along with a possible fine.
