Explanation using Example
Example 1:
Ravi, a 30-year-old man, kidnaps Priya, a 22-year-old woman, from her college campus. Ravi's intention is to force Priya to marry him against her will. He takes her to a remote location and threatens her with harm if she does not agree to the marriage. Priya manages to escape and reports the incident to the police. Under Section 366 of the Indian Penal Code, Ravi can be charged with kidnapping Priya with the intent to compel her to marry him against her will. If convicted, Ravi could face imprisonment for up to ten years and a fine.
Example 2:
Sunil, a local politician, uses his influence to abduct Meera, a young woman from his village. Sunil's plan is to force Meera into a relationship with his friend, Rajesh, who has been eyeing Meera for a long time. Sunil threatens Meera with dire consequences if she does not comply. Meera is terrified and feels she has no choice but to go along with Sunil's demands. However, she later finds an opportunity to contact the authorities and report the crime. Under Section 366 of the Indian Penal Code, Sunil can be charged with abducting Meera with the intent to force her into illicit intercourse with Rajesh. If found guilty, Sunil could be sentenced to imprisonment for up to ten years and a fine.
