Example 1:

Ravi, a local gang leader, kidnaps Suresh, a businessman, from his home in Mumbai. Ravi's intention is to demand a ransom from Suresh's family, but he also plans to kill Suresh if the ransom is not paid. Ravi's actions fall under Section 364 of the Indian Penal Code because he has kidnapped Suresh with the intention of murdering him if his demands are not met. Ravi can be punished with imprisonment for life or rigorous imprisonment for up to ten years, and he may also be fined.

Example 2:

Priya, a woman with a grudge against her neighbor, Anjali, abducts Anjali's young son, Rohit, from his school. Priya plans to take Rohit to a remote location and leave him there, knowing that the area is dangerous and that Rohit could be killed by wild animals or other hazards. Priya's actions are covered under Section 364 of the Indian Penal Code because she has abducted Rohit in a manner that puts him in danger of being murdered.
