Explanation using Example

Example 1:

Ravi, a businessman, convinces his employee, Sita, to accompany him on a business trip to Nepal. However, once they reach Nepal, Ravi reveals that he has no intention of returning to India and forces Sita to stay with him against her will. Sita did not consent to leave India permanently, nor did anyone legally authorized to consent on her behalf. In this scenario, Ravi has kidnapped Sita from India as per Section 360 of the Indian Penal Code.

Example 2:

Aman, a tour operator, organizes a trip to Thailand for a group of tourists. Among the tourists is a minor, Rohan, who is traveling with his uncle. During the trip, Aman decides to extend the stay in Thailand without informing Rohan's parents or obtaining their consent. Rohan's parents had only consented to a short trip, not an extended stay. Since Rohan is a minor and his parents did not consent to the extended stay, Aman has kidnapped Rohan from India under Section 360 of the Indian Penal Code.
