Explanation using Example

Example 1:

Ravi and Suresh are having an argument in a park. In a fit of anger, Ravi pushes Suresh, causing him to fall to the ground. Here, Ravi has used force as he caused a motion (Suresh falling) by his own bodily power (pushing).

Example 2:

Priya is upset with her neighbor, Anjali, and decides to play a prank. Priya places a bucket of water on top of Anjali's door, so when Anjali opens the door, the bucket tips over and water falls on her. Priya has used force by disposing a substance (water) in such a manner that the motion (water falling) takes place without any further act on her part.
