Example 1:

Sita runs a small ferry service across a river in West Bengal. She is aware that her ferry is designed to carry a maximum of 20 passengers. However, during a busy festival season, she decides to take on 35 passengers to maximize her earnings. The ferry becomes unstable and nearly capsizes due to the excessive weight, endangering the lives of all on board. Sita's actions fall under Section 282 of the Indian Penal Code, and she could be punished with imprisonment for up to six months, a fine of up to one thousand rupees, or both for negligently conveying persons in an overloaded vessel.
