Example 1:

Ravi is participating in a large protest that has turned violent. The police arrive to disperse the crowd and restore order. While a police officer is trying to calm the situation, Ravi throws a stone at the officer, hitting him on the shoulder. This act of assaulting the public servant while they are trying to suppress a riot can lead to Ravi being charged under Section 152 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860. He could face imprisonment for up to three years, a fine, or both.

Example 2:

During a local festival, a large group of people starts fighting in the street, causing a public disturbance. A municipal officer arrives to break up the fight and restore peace.
