Example 1:

Ravi and his friends are part of a large group protesting against a new government policy. The protest starts peacefully but soon turns violent, with some members of the group damaging public property. The police arrive and announce through loudspeakers that the assembly is unlawful and order everyone to disperse. Despite hearing the police command, Ravi and his friends continue to stay and participate in the protest. Under Section 145 of the Indian Penal Code, Ravi and his friends can be arrested and punished with imprisonment for up to two years, or fined, or both, for continuing in an unlawful assembly after being commanded to disperse.

Example 2:

A group of villagers gathers to protest against the construction of a factory in their area, fearing it will cause pollution. The protestors block the main road, causing a traffic jam. The local authorities declare the assembly unlawful and order the crowd to disperse using a public address system. Despite the clear command, Sita, a local activist, encourages the villagers to stay and continue their protest. Sita and the villagers who remain can be charged under Section 145 of the Indian Penal Code for not dispersing after being lawfully commanded to do so, and they may face imprisonment for up to two years, a fine, or both.
