Example 1:

Ravi enters into a rental agreement with his landlord, Mr. Sharma. The terms of the agreement, including the monthly rent, duration of the lease, and other conditions, are written down on a piece of paper and signed by both parties. This written rental agreement is a "document" under Section 29 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, because it expresses the terms of the contract and can be used as evidence of the agreement between Ravi and Mr. Sharma.

Example 2:

Priya issues a cheque to her friend, Suman, for Rs. 10,000. The cheque contains Priya's bank details, the amount to be paid, and her signature. This cheque is considered a "document" under Section 29 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, because it is a written instrument that can be used as evidence of Priya's intention to pay Suman Rs. 10,000.
