Explanation using Example

Imagine John, a factory worker, injured his hand at work and received a half-monthly payment as compensation. After a few months, John's hand healed better than expected, and he can now perform more tasks than he could immediately after the accident. The employer, noticing John's improved condition, applies for a review of the compensation with a medical certificate stating John's condition has changed. The Commissioner reviews the case and decides to decrease John's half-monthly payments, as his disability has lessened.
