The National Law School Admission Test (NLSAT) is conducted by National Law School of India University, Bengaluru for NLSIU programmes that use NLSAT (including the three-year LL.B. pathway as notified).
Undergraduate law entrance tests in India are largely skill examinations. They measure reading speed, logical structure, and the ability to apply a stated legal principle to a short fact pattern. They are not Civil Judge-style bare-Act papers.

Eligibility

Statutes and legal knowledge
Constitution of India structure—fundamental rights, separation of powers, judiciary—supports current-affairs and legal-reasoning passages. Awareness of the criminal-law transition to the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 and Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 helps with contemporary legal news. Detailed CPC or evidence mastery is not the design of most undergraduate entrances.
