Definitions are mostly renumbered. Practical diffs: higher fines for simple hurt, grievous hurt’s “severe pain” window is 15 days (was 20), some limbs pack definition and punishment together, and kidnapping/trafficking packages get tighter or harsher floors in places. Read the BNS number before you copy an old IPC charge sheet.
