Explanation using Example
Imagine a situation where a person, Mr. X, transfers a piece of land to his nephew, Mr. Y, with the condition that Mr. Y must not pursue any legal education for the next ten years. This condition is in direct conflict with public policy, which encourages individuals to pursue education freely. Therefore, the condition attached to the transfer of property is void, and Mr. Y would take the property without the need to comply with the unlawful condition.
