Explanation using Example
Imagine a company named "XYZ Tech" that has an internal committee to handle complaints of sexual harassment. In the financial year 2022-2023, they received 5 complaints. The committee resolved 4 and 1 is still under investigation. As per Section 22 of The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace Act, 2013, when XYZ Tech prepares its annual report, it must include these statistics – mentioning the 5 cases filed and the status of their disposal. If XYZ Tech is not required to prepare an annual report, it must still inform the local District Officer about the number of cases filed and their status.
