Imagine a Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) officer named Rohit who has signed up for a five-year term of service. After three years, Rohit decides he wants to pursue higher education and considers resigning from the Force. According to Section 8 of The Sashastra Seema Bal Act, 2007, Rohit is not free to resign his appointment before the end of his engagement term.
