The Rehabilitation Council of India Act, 1992

The Act also outlines the functions and powers of the Council, which includes granting recognition to institutions offering courses in rehabilitation education and training, setting standards for such courses, and establishing a code of ethics for rehabilitation professionals. The Council is also responsible for maintaining a Central Rehabilitation Register of qualified professionals. The Act also defines offenses and penalties for those who practice rehabilitation without proper qualifications or registration.
