The Rajiv Gandhi University Act, 2006

The Rajiv Gandhi University Act, 2006 was enacted to establish and incorporate a teaching and affiliating university in the state of Arunachal Pradesh, namely the Rajiv Gandhi University. The Act provides for the governance, management, and regulation of the University, including the appointment of authorities, the powers and duties of officers and teachers, and the conduct of examinations and research. The Act also lays down provisions for the establishment of colleges, institutions, and centers of studies under the University and their management. It further provides for the finances of the University, including the creation of a University Fund, the audit and accounts of the University, and the powers of the University to raise loans. The Act also outlines the procedure for amendment of the Act and dissolution of the University.
