Explanation using Example
Imagine that after a Presidential election, a group of 25 electors believe there was a violation of election laws affecting the outcome. According to Section 14A of The Presidential and Vice-Presidential Elections Act, 1952, they can collectively file an election petition to the Supreme Court. They must do so within thirty days from the date when the election results were officially published, challenging the validity of the election based on the grounds specified in the Act.
