Explanation using Example
Imagine John holds a promissory note where Peter is the maker, who needs to pay a certain amount to John on a future date. Peter travels frequently for business and has appointed Sarah as his authorized agent to handle financial matters in his absence. When the note matures, John can lawfully present the note to Sarah for payment, since she is Peter's duly authorized agent as per Section 75 of The Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881.
