Imagine a scenario where a car is spotted swerving erratically on a busy road. A traffic police officer in uniform notices this behavior and suspects that the driver may be under the influence of alcohol, which is an offence under Section 185 of The Motor Vehicles Act, 1988. The officer signals the car to pull over.
The officer approaches the driver and observes signs of intoxication, such as the smell of alcohol or slurred speech.
