Explanation using Example

Imagine a situation where a man named Arjun lures a 15-year-old boy named Rohit away from his school with the promise of showing him a new video game. Arjun does not have any lawful authority or the consent of Rohit's parents to take him anywhere. Later, it is discovered that Arjun has taken Rohit to a different city without informing anyone. This act of Arjun taking Rohit away from his lawful guardianship (his parents) and out of the geographical territory of India without consent can be seen as a case of kidnapping under Section 363 of The Indian Penal Code, 1860. If caught, Arjun could face imprisonment of up to seven years and may also be liable to pay a fine for his actions.
