Explanation using Example

Imagine a group of individuals gather to protest without the necessary permissions in an area where protests are restricted. They intend to block traffic and disrupt public order to voice their grievances. The police declare their assembly to be unlawful and order them to disperse. However, the individuals refuse to leave and continue their protest. Each member of this group could be charged under Section 143 of The Indian Penal Code, facing the possibility of imprisonment up to six months, a fine, or both, for being part of an unlawful assembly.
