Explanation using Example
Imagine a scenario where an individual, during a public speech, makes statements that accuse the government of being corrupt and tyrannical, and calls for people to rise against it violently. If these statements are perceived as inciting people to harbor hatred, contempt, or disaffection towards the government, this could be considered an act of sedition under Section 124A of The Indian Penal Code. Consequently, the individual could face legal charges and, if found guilty, may be sentenced to imprisonment and/or fined.
