Imagine a government clerk, who is responsible for translating land ownership records from the local language into English for official purposes. If this clerk, with the intent to favor a friend, deliberately mistranslates the document to show that his friend has a larger piece of land than he actually does, this could cause injury to the rightful landowner who may lose part of their land.
