Explanation using Example
Imagine Mr. Sharma authorizes Mr. Gupta to sell his house. Mr. Gupta, without Mr. Sharma's consent, delegates this task to Ms. Khan, a sub-agent. Ms. Khan makes some unauthorized decisions while negotiating the sale. According to Section 193 of the Indian Contract Act, Mr. Gupta is responsible for Ms. Khan's actions to both Mr. Sharma and any third parties involved. However, Mr. Sharma is not liable for Ms. Khan's actions since she was not officially appointed by him.
