Explanation using Example
Imagine a scenario where a 16-year-old teenager, Rahul, is asked by his uncle to sell his car on his behalf. Rahul finds a buyer and completes the sale. Later, it is discovered that the car had some legal issues, and the buyer wants to hold someone accountable. According to Section 184 of The Indian Contract Act, 1872, since Rahul is not of the age of majority, he cannot be held responsible to his uncle as an agent. The uncle, being the principal, would be responsible for any legal consequences arising from the sale of the car.
