Explanation using Example
Imagine Rita hires Tom as her real estate agent to manage her rental properties. Tom collects monthly rents from tenants, oversees maintenance, and pays property bills. Under Section 213 of The Indian Contract Act, 1872, Tom is obligated to provide Rita with a detailed account of his management activities, including rent collections and expenses, whenever she requests it. If Rita asks for an account statement and Tom fails to provide it, he would be violating this law.
