Explanation using Example
Imagine that Raj, a professional painter, was hired by Priya to paint her office. After finishing Priya's office, Raj mistakenly also paints an adjoining room that belongs to Rahul, not realizing it was not part of Priya's office. Rahul uses the room for his business meetings and benefits from the fresh paint. Since Raj did not intend to paint Rahul's room for free, and Rahul has enjoyed the benefit, under Section 70 of The Indian Contract Act, Rahul is obliged to compensate Raj for the cost of painting that room.
