Explanation using Example
Imagine a Chinese technology company, "Tech Innovations Co.," which is incorporated in China, decides to open a branch office in Mumbai, India. According to Section 382 of The Companies Act, 2013, Tech Innovations Co. must:
- Place a sign outside their Mumbai office in clear English letters stating "Tech Innovations Co. - Incorporated in China," and also include this information in Hindi, the local language.
- Ensure that all official documents such as business letters and promotional materials clearly mention "Tech Innovations Co. - Incorporated in China" in English.
- If Tech Innovations Co. is a limited liability company, it must clearly indicate this status in all company literature and on signs outside its business premises in both English and Hindi.
