Example 1:

Rajesh is a practicing lawyer in Bangalore and regularly appears in the court of Magistrate A. One day, Rajesh is appointed as an honorary Magistrate for a special session in the same court. According to Section 480 of The Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, Rajesh cannot sit as a Magistrate in the same court where he practices as a lawyer. Therefore, Rajesh must decline the appointment or request to be assigned to a different court outside the local jurisdiction of Magistrate A's court.
