Explanation using Example

Example 1:

Rajesh, a 35-year-old man, is accused of committing a non-bailable offence of robbery, which is punishable with imprisonment for up to 10 years. He is arrested by the police without a warrant and brought before a Magistrate. Rajesh has no prior criminal record, and there are no reasonable grounds to believe that he committed the offence. The Magistrate decides to release Rajesh on bail, subject to the conditions that he must attend all court hearings, not commit any similar offences, and not tamper with any evidence or influence any witnesses.

Example 2:

Sunita, a 28-year-old woman, is accused of a non-bailable offence of causing grievous hurt, which is punishable with imprisonment for up to 7 years. She is arrested and brought before a Magistrate. Sunita has a prior conviction for a similar offence, but she is currently suffering from a severe illness. The Magistrate, considering her health condition, decides to release her on bail after giving an opportunity for the Public Prosecutor to be heard. Sunita is required to comply with conditions such as attending court hearings and not influencing witnesses.
