Example 2:

Priya, who lives in Tamil Nadu, is a witness in a criminal trial taking place in a District Court in Chennai. Priya speaks Tamil fluently but is not very comfortable with English. The State Government of Tamil Nadu has designated Tamil as the language of the courts within the state, except for the High Court. As a result, Priya's testimony is recorded in Tamil, and all court documents and proceedings are conducted in Tamil. This allows Priya to provide her testimony clearly and ensures that she comprehends the questions posed to her during the trial.
