Example 1:
Scenario: A neighborhood dispute in Mumbai.
Situation: Raj and Mohan, who live in the same neighborhood in Mumbai, have been having frequent arguments over a boundary wall. Their arguments have escalated to the point where neighbors are concerned that it might lead to physical violence.
Application of Section 107: An Executive Magistrate in Mumbai receives information from the local police about the ongoing dispute and the potential for violence. The Magistrate believes there is sufficient ground to proceed and summons Raj and Mohan to appear before him.
Outcome: The Magistrate requires both Raj and Mohan to show cause why they should not be ordered to execute a bond for keeping the peace.
