Example 1:

Scenario: A citizen files a lawsuit against a District Collector for allegedly misusing his power in an official capacity.

Application of Rule 8A: In this case, the District Collector, being a public officer, is defended by the Government. According to Rule 8A, the District Collector is not required to provide any security as mentioned in rules 5 and 6 of Order XLI.
