Explanation using Example

Imagine a lawyer, Mr. Sharma, who is primarily based in Mumbai and registered with the Maharashtra State Bar Council. One day, he is approached by a client who needs representation in a property dispute case that is to be heard at the Delhi High Court. According to Section 30 of The Advocates Act, 1961, Mr. Sharma is entitled to represent his client in the Delhi High Court despite being registered in a different state. He can practice in any court within India, including the Supreme Court, without the need for any additional permission or enrollment at the Delhi State Bar Council.
