Explanation using Example
Imagine a government employee, Mr. Sharma, who has a dispute regarding his retirement benefits. He files an application to the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) challenging the decision of his government employer. After the proceedings, the CAT passes an order in favor of Mr. Sharma, directing the employer to revise his retirement benefits according to the applicable rules.
Under Section 27 of The Administrative Tribunals Act, 1985, the order given by the CAT is final. Mr. Sharma's employer cannot challenge this order in a High Court or any other court. They must comply with the order and execute it as if it were a final order issued by any court for a similar grievance. Consequently, Mr. Sharma's revised retirement benefits would be processed and provided to him in accordance with the CAT's order.
