Explanation using Example
Imagine a scenario where the Supreme Court of India has delivered a judgement on a high-profile environmental case. After the judgement, new scientific evidence emerges that significantly impacts the basis on which the judgement was made. Under Article 137 of the Constitution of India, the parties involved in the case can petition the Supreme Court to review its judgement in light of the new evidence, provided that the review conforms to the laws made by Parliament and the rules under Article 145.
