Explanation using Example
Imagine a scenario where a new bill, the Clean Energy Promotion Bill, is proposed by the government to promote the use of renewable energy sources. According to Article 79 of the Constitution of India, this bill must be presented and passed in both houses of Parliament, the Rajya Sabha (Council of States) and the Lok Sabha (House of the People), before it can be sent to the President for his assent and become a law. The Parliament, including the President and the two houses, works together to discuss, amend, and vote on the bill.
