Explanation using Example
Imagine a scenario where two individuals, one a wealthy businessman and the other a street vendor, commit the same traffic violation. According to Article 14 of the Constitution of India, when they are brought before the court, both should be treated equally by the law. The judge cannot impose a harsher penalty on the street vendor while letting the businessman off lightly simply because of their economic status. Both individuals must be given the same consideration and protection under the law.
