Explanation using Example
Imagine a situation where a member of a Scheduled Caste is physically harmed by a group of individuals. During the investigation, it is discovered that one of the accused provided money to the attackers. In court, under Section 8 of The Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989, it would be presumed that this person abetted the crime, unless they can prove otherwise.
