Explanation using Example
Imagine a driver, John, gets into a minor traffic accident with another vehicle. Instead of providing his information to the other party as required by section 134, he decides to leave the scene immediately. A witness reports the incident, and the police track John down. Since this is his first offence of this nature, he is charged under section 187 of The Motor Vehicles Act, 1988. John is found guilty and is sentenced to a fine of five thousand rupees for failing to comply with the law.
