The Insecticides Act, 1968

The Insecticides Act, 1968 was enacted to regulate the import, manufacture, sale, transport, distribution, and use of insecticides in India. The Act establishes a Central Insecticides Board and Registration Committee for regulating and registering insecticides. It lays down guidelines for the safe and effective use of insecticides and sets limits on the amount of insecticides that can be used. The Act also provides for penalties for violations of its provisions.
