Explanation using Example

Example 1:

Ravi, a businessman, creates a fake property deed showing that he owns a piece of land that actually belongs to his neighbor, Mr. Sharma. Ravi then uses this fake deed to secure a loan from a bank. Here, Ravi has committed forgery by making a false document with the intent to cause injury to Mr. Sharma and to fraudulently obtain a loan.

Example 2:

Priya, an employee at a software company, alters the digital attendance records to show that she worked extra hours, which she did not actually work. She does this to claim overtime pay. By making a false electronic record with the intent to commit fraud and gain financial benefit, Priya has committed forgery under Section 463 of the Indian Penal Code.
