Explanation using Example

Example 1:

Rajesh, a bus driver, was driving his bus at a high speed in a crowded market area, ignoring traffic rules and signals. Due to his rash driving, he lost control of the bus and hit a pedestrian, resulting in the pedestrian's death. Rajesh did not intend to kill the pedestrian, but his negligent act of driving recklessly in a crowded area caused the death. Under Section 304A of the Indian Penal Code, Rajesh can be charged with causing death by negligence and may face imprisonment for up to two years, a fine, or both.

Example 2:

Sunita, a construction site supervisor, failed to ensure that proper safety measures were in place at the site. One day, a worker was working on a scaffold without a safety harness, and the scaffold collapsed due to poor maintenance. The worker fell and died as a result of the fall. Sunita's negligence in not enforcing safety protocols led to the worker's death. Under Section 304A of the Indian Penal Code, Sunita can be held liable for causing death by negligence and may be punished with imprisonment for up to two years, a fine, or both.
