Example 1:

Ravi, a construction worker, was operating a crane at a construction site in Mumbai. As a result, the crane's arm hit another worker, Suresh, causing him serious injuries. Ravi's negligent act endangered Suresh's life and personal safety. Under Section 337 of the Indian Penal Code, Ravi could be punished with imprisonment for up to six months, a fine of up to five hundred rupees, or both.
