The Indian Museum Act, 1910

The Indian Museum Act, 1910 is an Act of the Indian Parliament which was enacted to provide for the preservation of ancient and historical monuments and archaeological sites and remains of national importance. The Act defines what constitutes an ancient monument and provides for the preservation, maintenance and protection of such monuments. It also establishes the Indian Museum in Kolkata and provides for its management and administration.
