The Indian Institute of Management Act, 2017

The Indian Institute of Management Act, 2017 is a legislation that provides for the establishment of Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) as institutions of national importance with the aim to promote excellence in management education, research, training, and consultancy. The Act provides for the composition, powers, and functions of the Board of Governors of IIMs, the appointment and powers of Directors, the admission process and curriculum for students, and the financial management of IIMs. The Act also empowers IIMs to grant degrees, diplomas, and other academic distinctions.
